Since I have been writing about how beneficial indoor plants can be, I also wanted to warn anyone who has or wants to get indoor plants and has cats about the possible dangers some of these plants can pose to your feline friends. Household plants are normally very good for you. They have so many benefits for your health. However, some common household plants can be dangerous and toxic to your pets, more specifically cats. Often cats chew and gnaw on plants to ease there stomach and cure boredom. This can be dangerous as many houseplants and indoor plants are toxic to cats. The ASPCA has an extensive list of plants that are toxic and non-toxic for cats and can be found here. When in doubt and if you cannot find the plant you have or want to get on the OK list then either do not get it or get rid of it. When it comes to the heath of your pets it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
